How Drones Are Delivering Medicine to Remote Villages

Delivery drone flying over a forested valley
For villages separated from the nearest pharmacy by a day of travel, a cold-chain drone run turns a two-day wait into a forty-minute one. The constraint was never the aircraft — it was the paperwork and the landing site.
Our routes connect district cold stores to village health posts, carrying vaccines, antivenom, and blood products. Each post maintains a marked landing square and a trained receiver, which removed the largest source of failed drops.
"The aircraft was never the hard part. Clearing a corridor and training someone to catch the box — that is the programme."
— Devendra Verma, Operations Director
What Scaling Requires
Regulatory clearance remains the slowest step. We now work with district administrations well ahead of deployment so that corridor approvals arrive before the hardware does.
